Maggie McDowell is the sole owner/operator of Magpies on Pink Street.

Maggie spent her 20's as an actor in New York City.

Weary of the city hustle, in the spring of 2019, Maggie decided to *temporarily* relocate to Bovina, NY to work at the acclaimed Brushland Eating House with friends Sara and Sohail Zandi.

The silence, soft breeze, and big beauty of the Catskills hooked her.

Time to.....take a hike?

And pick blackberries on the trail??

And take up labor-intensive and finicky hobbies like making pie crust???

And then put those blackberries into that pie crust and bake it all into something tasty to share with new friends under the stars on a summer evening?!?!?!

(Needless to say, she never left.)

These days, you can find her perfecting the ever-challenging art of pie crust-making, picking apples from generous neighbors' trees, late-night taste-testing with pal chef Antonio mora, gabbing with friends over a table of bakes at the Delhi Farmer’s Market, and watching the seasons change on her morning walk. (She's the girl with flour in her hair).

Ahhhhh the Catskills: surprises await over every hill, down every hollow:)
